The word terrazzo (Terracce in Italian) refers to its origins rooted in Venice Italy. Terrazzo is a composite material made of chips of marble, quartz, granite, glass, shell or other suitable materials. It is held together with a concrete (mostly Portland cement) or epoxy-resin binder.

Eco-friendly material
A concrete -based Terrazzo has a total absence of chemicals or other synthetic products
(as resin) during the production process that make this product environmentally friendly and entirely recycled. Some terrazzo can also be made with post-consumer and recycled materials. Modern technology allows a mechanically polishing to a high-shine without using chemicals.
